About the Brewery
Pabst Blue Ribbon — universally known as PBR — has been brewed since 1844, making it one of America's oldest beer brands. Founded by Jacob Best in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the brand was later renamed in honor of the blue ribbons it won at national competitions. After decades of decline, PBR experienced a massive cultural renaissance in the early 2000s when it was adopted by hipsters and working-class drinkers alike for its unpretentious, authentic character. PBR is now brewed under contract by MillerCoors and is one of the best-selling craft and value crossover beers in America.
